The guides published by the National Cryptologic Center (CCN) represent a definitive step to help Spanish Government agencies, protect information in privileged environments as well as comply with industry and government regulations.

Thycotic, provider of privileged access management (PAM) solutions to more than 10,000 organizations, including 25 of the Fortune 100, has announced the publication of its best practice guides for PAM by CCN-Cert in Spain.

The guides published by the National Cryptologic Center (CCN), which is the part of Spain’s National Intelligence Centre (CNI) that sets the standards for ICT security and processes in the country’s Government Institutions, represent a definitive step to help Spanish Government agencies, from public administration entities to critical infrastructure, protect information in privileged environments as well as comply with industry and government regulations.

Whether it’s the Spanish National Security (ENS) framework, ISO 27002, EU GDPR or the NIST Framework, it is often a major challenge for the CISOs in Government agencies to know where to start. However, all of these have strong security recommendations for access controls, and PAM can help them get ahead quickly and develop a strong baseline. Thycotic Secret Server Government Edition 10.1 can improve the security posture for these organizations and protect their more critical identities by helping IT staff meet the criteria of Privilege Access Management within a range of different compliance legislation.

Of course, it’s not just public sector organizations that are subject to the ENS framework compliance, and the guides also represent a boost for security within the private sector as they are available for public download on the official CCN portal.

Commenting on the announcement, Carlos Ferro, VP EEMEA and Asia Market at Thycotic, said: “Our role is to help all organizations improve the security of their most critical identities and credentials. The work announced today is a conclusive response to these demands and, positions Thycotic as the key solution provider capable of guiding the Spanish Government in Privilege Access Management.”
