Madrid, July 1, 2020.- This June, Forrester has published a report about Connected Medical Devices Security, which is part of the set of studies carried out in its New Wave Report, where it recognizes Medigate as one of the four Leaders within this fledgling market, as well as a Strong Performer.
The study is novel in the field of security given that it focuses on the Healthcare Sector and the securing of devices, which especially requires cybersecurity tools, something that was evident during the period of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Forrester highlights eight suppliers as the main actors in the field of Connected Medical Devices Security, one of them being Medigate that appears as one of the four top vendors in this area. Medigate provides three essential capabilities for effective IT security: visibility of all devices connected to the network, detection of potential threats and automated attack prevention. These capabilities have been specifically designed for the healthcare sector, differentiating Medigate from other solutions. Jonathan Langer, CEO and Co-Founder of Medigate, has pointed out precisely that Medigate customers “mentioned to Forrester that they are very happy with the product’s ability to detect and quickly respond to new cyberattacks in their environment. The quality in technical support was consistently cited as a differentiator.”
The healthcare environment is facing a high increase in cyberattacks, not only to steal information but also to block the operation of critical elements of hospitals with attacks on very specific devices, and this is where Medigate can provide significant value both autonomously and working with others security tools.
Recently Medigate has signed an agreement with Forescout Technologies, another of the eight manufacturers highlighted by Forrester in its New Wave Report. The alliance between the two security providers enables the integration of Forescout enterprise device visibility, automated segmentation, and incident response capabilities with Medigate’s IoMT visibility, anomaly detection, and lifecycle management capabilities.
