Kefar – Saba, Israel, September 2, 2021.- MultiPoint Group is a leader in the distribution of Internet technology and IT security solutions, and Ingecom, a Value-AddedDistributor (VAD) specialized in cybersecurity and cyberintelligence solutions, bought apart of MultiPoint Group, with the objective of consolidating its position at an international level and becoming a leading distributor in the Mediterranean area. The operation is beneficial for both parties, since MultiPoint Group will have the support of Ingecom at all levels (financial, commercial, technical and marketing).
This partnership by MultiPoint Group and Ingecom is another step in the commercial relationship of both companies, which began at the beginning of this year, when both VADs signed a strategic alliance with the aim of expanding the market. Let us remember that Ingecom has a presence in Spain, Italy and Portugal, while MultiPoint Group has offices in Cyprus, Greece, Romania, Serbia, Israel and the United Arab Emirates(GCC), which facilitates the sale of the portfolio of both distributors in many countries, six of them members of the European Union.
Javier Modúbar, CEO of Ingecom, comments that: “The investment we make in MultiPoint Group is a strategic commitment by Ingecom in order to cover a very important territorial area for us, as well as for our manufacturers and customers. With this acquisition, we fulfil part of the roadmap that we set for ourselves in 2020 and, at the same time, we strengthen Ingecom’s relationships with MultiPoint Group, which will allow us to advance in the medium term in the same company strategy, providing strategic value for our clients and manufacturers”.
For his part, Ricardo Resnik, CEO of the MultiPoint Group, points out that: “The step taken has been a natural movement between two VADs with the same business philosophy and a common cybersecurity business proposal. MultiPoint Group is strengthened as a company, while Ingecom advances exponentially in its internationalization strategy”.
Founded in 2009 in Israel, MultiPoint Group has a staff of more than twenty people and has a portfolio that exceeds 20 manufacturers. The company will continue to operate under the guidelines set by Resnik in the countries where it has a presence, although with the support of Ingecom resources.
Benefits of a common global strategy
During this year, both VADs have joined synergies both at a commercial and technical level in ten languages, as well as in logistics and marketing, benefiting not only the distributors themselves but also the manufacturers, partners and custormers they serve. In fact, many manufacturers are already talking advantage of these advantages based on a common cybersecurity and cyberintelligence proposal that spans a dozen countries. The last of them has been Forescout, leader in the security of the Enterprise of Things, which last July signed a distribution agreement with MultiPoint Group to scpand the commercialization of its solutions in Israel, as well as in the Palestine Authority.
On the other hand, at the end of January of this year, SealPath joined the agreement, expanding distribution with MultiPoint Group of Israel to the rest of the countries where VAD has a presence, in order to become the reference MRI manufacturer also in these regions.
These two companies join the lisst of manufacturers taht have opted for the MultiPoint Group and Ingecom alliance, consolidating the portfolio of both distributors to unify it. Currently, VADs have a common portfolio of eleven solutions consisting of AlienVault (AT&T), ExtraHop, Forescout, Garland Tehcnology, Kela, ReSec, SealPath, Thycotic, Vicarius, Yubico and Zimperium.
