Founded in Sweden in 2007, Yubico emerged with the goal of providing users with secure and easy logins. Its founders, Stina Ehrensvärd, CEO, and Jakob Ehrensvärd, CTO, decided to move to Silicon Valley to begin their professional careers. There, they collaborated with major internet companies and industry leaders, and created native support for keys on major online platforms and browsers, thus improving internet security for millions of people. Yubico is a pioneer in the design of the first one-time password authenticator that worked with a simple touch and without software, compatible with the open OATH (Open AuTHentication) authentication standard.
