- The distribution agreement between the value-added distributor and the vendor focuses on the development of business in Spain and Portugal.
- Using a unique machine learning model and advanced andragogical methodologies, Cyber Guru has developed training programmes designed to influence user behaviour by developing the three key defensive characteristics of any person: knowledge, threat perception and response.
Madrid, October 8, 2024.- Ingecom Ignition, an Exclusive Networks company, Value- Added Distributor (VAD) specialized in IT cybersecurity solutions, OT/ICS cybersecurity, IoT and IoMT and cyber intelligence, has signed a distribution agreement for Spain and Portugal with Cyber Guru, an Italian company with a cybersecurity awareness training platform that stands out for its effectiveness.
This comprehensive training platform is designed to maximize the effectiveness of employees’ learning processes and to consolidate the awareness needed to deal with the attack techniques used by cybercriminals, which are constantly evolving over time; in fact, speaking of the increase in cybercrime, Cyber Guru points out that currently 74% of cyber-attacks can be attributed to human error.
The Cyber Guru platform uses three different training methods: Cognitive, Inductive and Experiential; essential to have a concrete impact on the user’s behaviour and to develop the three main defensive characteristics of the individual: knowledge, perception of danger and preparedness, corresponding respectively to Cyber Guru Awareness, Cyber Guru Channel and Cyber Guru Phishing.
- Cyber Guru Awareness is developed through a cognitive training pathway based on a mainly didactic approach that works on the most rational part of the brain. It explains the main types of threats, how they materialise and the most appropriate behavioural logic to adopt. Cyber Guru Awareness is the didactic programme of the platform, in virtual learning mode, where knowledge is acquired gradually and continuously through micro-lessons.
- Cyber Guru Channel is the inductive training programme that uses the typical narrative scheme of TV series to allow the user to learn through identification in real-life situations. It consists of a series of videos focusing on the main cyber threats and how they can concretely affect individuals and organisations. The videos raise users’ awareness of digital technologies by showing them that anyone can be an interesting target for cybercrime.
- Cyber Guru Phishing provides experience-based training for the anti-phishing function. Thanks to an innovative artificial intelligence model specifically designed for training and coaching, this programme is able to offer a personalised and, above all, adaptive approach. As a result, it provides much more effective and appropriate training to deal with new cyber-attack techniques.
Minimising Human Risk
In Iberia, Cyber Guru is represented by Mar Sánchez Caro, Business Development Manager, who commented on the distribution agreement: “We are delighted to have signed this collaboration agreement with Ingecom Ignition, which, by choosing our technology, is demonstrating its concern for human risk management as a key element in protecting organisations against one of the threats that is currently causing the most damage to public and private companies in our country. The alliance with Ingecom Ignition comes at a key moment for Cyber Guru in Spain, which, after a year and a half in our country, is being very well received in both the public and private sectors. Ingecom Ignition’s extensive experience will help us achieve our goals in this market”.
Carlos Marcos, Account Manager & Head of Cyberintelligence Unit at Ingecom Ignition, comments: “We are delighted to announce our strategic partnership with Cyber Guru, a leading provider of cybersecurity awareness and human risk management solutions. This partnership comes at a crucial time as organisations face the challenge of complying with the NIS2 directive, which requires a greater focus on information security and risk management. Cyber Guru’s approach will be particularly valuable to organisations looking to implement effective risk management measures and comply with the incident reporting requirements set out in NIS2”.
It is timely that the announcement of this distribution agreement coincides with Cybersecurity Awareness Month, a global initiative that reminds us of the importance of educating and training all members of an organisation on digital security practices. “The partnership with Cyber Guru reinforces our commitment to providing our customers with the tools they need to create a more secure and resilient digital environment”, concludes Carlos Marcos.
